Bill C-59 has received Royal Assent on June 20, 2024

Sorry to bother late on Thursday... I wanted to provide you with an important and timely update on my last email or our last chat:

Bill C-59 (including the Clean Technology ITC) has received Royal Assent this evening!!!

Not only that but bill C-69 (which includes the Clean Technology Manufacturing ITC and the  Clean Hydrogen ITC) also received Royal Assent !

So what are the next steps?

1 . A few days from now the CRA should publish initial guidance on how to claim the ITCs in the interim period

2. Sometime in Q3/Q4 2024  we are expecting the CRA to publish the required forms to claim the ITCs (but this could be delayed)
